Hot/Cold

Living in London has completely altered the way I feel the hot and the cold. You could tell me it’s 30º when it’s only 22º and I’d believe it.

When I go to Portugal and hear someone saying the weather isn’t that great, I’ll just roll my eyes disapprovingly—I’ve become a weather snob.

I now understand why so many tourists dress like it’s summer in our Portuguese winter. It is summer.

(I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this on the website before, but this is a blog about London, so you’re bound to get a lot weather related posts.)

The thing is: the UK is much much more humid, so 22 definitely feels like 30. Hot temperatures in dry climates like ours in Portugal are way more bearable. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to have more than 30 in the UK. It would be like more than 40 in Portugal.
